“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” Good God More Hobbit!

Is a three part The Hobbit not long enough for you? Is any movie released in the theater EVER long enough for Peter Jackson? Of course not! That’s why The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey the Extendedededed Edition exists. (Prepare yourself now, there will be an Extendedededed Edition for every one of these damn films, just like there was for LOTR.)

Of course, when I found out that the extra footage was Rivendell, I stop complaining and was sold.

“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” The Extendededed Edition


Did you expect anything less from the man who made Extended(edededed) editions de-rigeur along with every last goddamn detail they could possibly cram about the making of the movie into the DVD box set?

Of COURSE each of these already over extended Hobbits have more bloat to add! Personally, I can’t wait! (No really. I love the extended editions of LOTR so much, I forget that much of it wasn’t in the theatrical release I saw in theaters. But nevermind.)

New Hobbit Posters, Free To A Good Home

Apparently, those who signed up for midnight screenings at their local IMAX theaters are going to not only get to see a 9 minute clip of Star Trek Into Darkness, they’ll also be bribed with free posters. (I am assuming this is for real IMAX theaters and not oversized theaters that got slapped with the IMAX label in hopes that audiences wouldn’t know the difference.)

I know it’s been a decade since the original trilogy, but are the producers that worried about the midnight screenings not selling out that they need to pile on the freebies?

First Official Clip from “The Hobbit”

Syfy did their best to get everyone to watch their flagging line up by promising our first “Official” Hobbit Clip, which features Martin Freeman as Bilbo, being given Sting.

I’m ready to forgive The Hobbit for delaying “Sherlock” production, but if, and only if, it lives up to all this hype. If this turns out to be “The Phantom Menace” all over again, the internet is going to hear about it.
