Doctor Who: “The Zygon Inversion” Trailer and Clara’s Fate

As we saw this weekend, there was no “Next Time” trailer for part two of the current Zygon adventure. But, of course, the channel cannot not promote next week’s episode at all, despite wanting to keep things under wraps. So both BBC1 and BBCA have TV trailers. And for once, they are two completely different versions as well, which is pretty rare nowadays.

The BBCA one doesn’t even show the Doctor, in order to keep his fate a mystery from us. (As if he’s somehow not going to survive!)

I would point out though, this suggests Coleman will have a pretty meaty role next week playing “Evil Clara” (or should be just call her “Bonnie”?)

The BBC1 trailer wasn’t so determined in their cuts. They even include a shot of “The Osgood Box.”

Meanwhile, in a new interview, Moffat has started to drop hints about Clara’s fate. As we know, Jenna Coleman was cast in the lead of ITV’s Victoria, slated to air next year. Suspicion holds that she will be gone prior to the finale, since everyone has trumpeted that the first half will be the Doctor “companionless.” But whatever her exit, apparently is will be very final.

“Clara is gone and will never return. I will not reveal any forecast about her fate.  I can only say that what will happen will shock, terrify and surprise you. Strictly in that order.”

Will Lady Me be involved? Is Clara going to die? So many questions. But first, let’s deal with the problem at hand–how do we get her out of that pod, and Bonnie done and away with?
