The People’s Choice Awards, a show where 13 year olds vote like crazy because they’ve been told their opinion matters in Pop Culture. It’s the show that doesn’t have the cache of the MTV Award, the focus of the American Music Awards, or the pull of a branded event for properly shilling. The People’s Choice Awards. Because it’s there.
Predictably, the red carpet was devoid of anything close to A list, and the red carpet was graded on a steep curve. There was the Best Dressed. the Could Have Been Worse Dressed, the Oh that is Worse Dressed and the Ugly. Let’s get to it.
Kate Hudson, wore something simply from the back of her closet and walked away with the red Carpet. Considering she hasn’t done anything but appear on Best Dressed lists for a few years now, one could consider it a typical day at the office for her.
In another setting this wouldn’t even be noticed. But here, on Priyanka Chopra, the two toned metallic is a winner.
Like a younger version of Kate Hudson, all Vanessa Hudgens does is look good on Red Carpets. Not a fan of her hair and makeup here though.
Now serving face at Table Twelve. We repeat, Ming-Na Wen is now serving face.
Maddie Ziegler stylist really nails her client’s look here. Age appropriate, fresh, fun and stands out as not trying to hard.
Like Kate Hudson, simple is best. I’m also drawn to the design’s on Camilla Luddington’s sleeves. (Also, she’s wearing sleeves! How different.)
Abigail Spencer’s mullet gown is saved from Worst Dressed by staying mostly closed.
Look it’s what Claire Danes does now. Take it or leave it.
Perhaps a bit office cocktail party, but I’d bet that Joan Harris would approve of Sasha Alexander’s dress.
Renee Olstead, sking the like of It Could Have Been Worse…
It Could Have Been Worse
It’s could have been worse. Alison Brie’s shield bodice could have had an actual shield on it.
It could have been worse, Amber Valletta could have worn the skater’s costume over the beige skin toned undergarment.
It could hav ebeen worse, Julianne Hough could have worn something that was as bad as her make up and hair.
It could have been worse, Katherine McNamara’s dress could have been full bridal instead of half.
It could have been worse, Lucy Hale could have brought the Renn Faire props she bought with this dress.
It could have been worse, another actress from the show she’s on could have worn nearly the exact same out fit as Natalie Dormer.
It could have been worse, another actress from the show she’s on could have worn nearly the exact same out fit as Nathalie Emmanuel.
It could have been worse, and then it was because I spotted Shelley Hennig’s underboob.
It could have been worse, and then it was because Keke Palmer has a rat tail.
It could have been worse, Kat Graham, I could have proved I’ve seen you wear that exact outfit before to a red carpet.
Oh that is Worse
Please, Melissa McCarthy, fire your stylist before Ghostbusters comes out.
Wake up Maggie Lawson, I fear I have something to say to you about that overly severe bodice.
No Meghan Trainor. Bad.
Someone tell Arden Cho “too big on you” does not equal “bohemian.”
Keltie Knight, dressed like she’s a twelve year old at her first bar mitzvah.
Hay i just met you, and this is crazy, but dressing like Joan Jett, well that’s just lazy.
Remmeber when Chrstina Milan was someone? We don’t either.
Frankie Grande, successfully keeping his sister off another red carpet lest she die of embarrassment.
Jane Lynch, hosting in her banyan and smoking slippers. Hey’s it’s a living.
